I am a statistician/data scientist with a diverse skillset in statistical modeling, data mining & machine learning, interactive data visualization, data technologies, and business intelligence.
I earned my B.Sc. in Computer Science at California University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Mathemetics. From there, I earned my M.Sc. in Statistics at WVU, where I focused on machine learning, data technologies, and statistical programing.
My interest in data science was first sparked at CalU, where I wrote software to apply unsupervised machine learning algorithms to study writing style in medieval literature with the Wheaton Lexomics Group.
I'm currently a Data Scientist at The Hartford, where I work primarily work with Small Commercial Underwriting. In my day-to-day, I use machine learning and statistical modeling to optimize our underwriting processes enhance agent engagement.
Previously, I was a Commercial Analytics Specialist at Mylan, where I used my skill set in data science to to drive business insights across the commercial organization.
I was also an adjunct professor at CalU, where I was able to use my professional experience in statistics and data science to introduce students to the concepts they'll need to work in a modern, data-driven business environment.
