About me

Personal

I live in Central Connecticut with my wife, Tori, and rambunctious mutt, Monte Cristo (named after the sandwich, not the Count).

My free time mostly revolves around motorcycles in some form or another, with my main passion being long-distance, solo touring (on- and off-road) on my Husqvarna Norden 901 or FE 501. I also enjoy shorter tours with Tori, especially as we try to hit as many bucket list international fly-and-ride adventures as we can fit into our PTO. When I’m not riding my own bikes, I’m an MSF RiderCoach and teach motorcycle safety classes for the state of Connecticut. Most of my hobby time in the off-season is spent planning trips and maintaining, customizing, and upgrading my own bikes.

Outside of motorcycling, I also dabble in cycling (mountain, gravel, and bikepacking) and hiking. When I’m too lazy to get outside, I’m a fan of building custom mechanical keyboards, headphones, photography, PC gaming, and just generally being a huge nerd.

Professional

I’m Data Science & AI leader with a background in statistics and computer science. In my current role, I’m a Senior Director of Data Science & AI focused on Claims & Fraud at Liberty Mutual.

I was at The Hartford prior to joining Liberty, with roles leading Employee Benefits Applied AI, Claims Emerging Sciences & AI, and data science teams of various sizes in Workers Compensation and Employee Benefits Claims, Commercial Lines Pricing & Risk Score modeling, as well as holding individual contributor positions in Actuarial Technology & Innovation and Small Business Data Science.

Before joining The Hartford in 2017, I spent some time in commercial analytics in the pharmaceutical industry and taught as an adjunct professor in Pennsylvania.
